And laugh with Michael at his misadventures as a waiter and cook and as the proprietor of a feed and grain shop which he later turned into a boarding house. Even his trip to New York to visit his sisters ended in a hilarious mix up. "It's amazing! You can't go anywhere without getting into bother" said Michael's wife Francis on his return from New York. And "get into bother" he did. In Ireland, where he was born and raised; in Scotland, working deep in the coal mines; and in England, as a waiter and a cook.
