Description
Summary:During a machining process, heat is generated at the edge of the cutting tool. This heat is then dissipated through these four parameter that make up the process (1) the cutting tool, (2) the workpiece, (3) the chip formed and (4) the cutting fluid. High temperatures may cause a decrease is the life time of cutting tool. The objective is to determine the machining parameter that influences the heat generation at cutting tool in conventional milling process by monitoring the temperature at the cutting tool surface using infrared thermal imaging camera.
