Summary:Agriculture wastes are wastes generated from the agriculture industries such as rice industry, coconut industry and timber industry. These wastes if left untreated or disposed by open burning will only bring harmful effects towards the environment. Agricultural wastes such as cocopeat, burnt rice husk and sawdust can be beneficial to human being if they are being utilized in a proper and efficient way. One of the most common use of agricultural wastes are utilization of the agricultural wastes as growing media for the crops. Different types of agricultural wastes such as cocopeat, burnt rice husk and sawdust has different characteristics as a growing media which affects the growth of the crops based on the growing media properties such as moisture content, salinity value and pH value.
