| Summary: | Membrane technology has gradually become a popular separation technology over the past few decades. There are significant advantages of using membranes for industrial processes such as no phase changes or chemical additives, easy to scale up, simple in operation and relatively low energy consumption. Present research shows polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) as one of the most used membrane materials. However , it is limited by a few problems which are fouling in water treatment, wetting in membrane contactors and limited at low temperature. |
