Description
Summary:The aim of this study is to synthesize monoclinic phase of LaYO3 and then characterize the sintered LaYO3 that was prepared using two-step sintering process. Initially, the phase transition and phase stability of pure LaYO3 were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD). Then, the correlation between densification and grain growth of sintered LaYO3 that processed by using two-step sintering were identified. Furthermore, their electrical properties were analyzed using an Impedance Spectroscopy (IS) analyzer to reveal the conductivity and activation energy as a function of temperature. Therefore, the finding will be used to assess the suitability of sintered LaYO3 obtained from two-step sintering as a solid electrolyte for SOFC application.
