סיכום:This paper investigates the physical and mechanical propertiesthermal performaance of the fly ash foamed geopolymer. The mixing of the alkali activator (mixture of liquid NaOH solution (12M concentrations) and liquid Na2SiO3 ) used as alkali activator with fly ash, followed by then the mixture is mixmixing with foaming agent (hydrogen peroxide) to produce foamed geopolymer paste. The paste is was cured under room temperature for 1 day. In order to test their thermal performance, Next, the pastethe foamed geopolymers was were heated in a furnace at different temperatures (, which are 200oC, 400oC, 600oC, and 800oC). One set of the samples were left unexposed. The samples were tested and characterized on their bulk density, compressive strength, microstructure, functional group and thermal properties. The result showed that the bulk density of foamed geopolymers is lightweight (~1400 kg/m3). However, the compressive strength decreased when heated up to 400 C and then increased beyond 400 C. The formation of geopolymer matrix with some unreacted particles are observed from microstructural analysis. FTIR analysis showed the shift of wavenumber after the exposure of high temperature. In samples heated at 800 C, zeolite band was observed. On the other hand, TGA analysis showed that main weight loss occurred at temperature below 100 C.
